New Jersey civil rights officials have opened an investigation into medical care at Delaney Hall, a GEO Group-operated ICE facility, after the death of detainee Edwin Lopez-Cornejo on Saturday. The state attorney general issued subpoenas on Friday, prior to the death, which was the third at the site. Lopez-Cornejo, a Salvadoran national with documented chronic conditions, had reported neurological symptoms to his mother the day before.
