Framing Analysis
NASA launched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope from Kennedy Space Center aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. The spacecraft is en route to the Sun-Earth L2 point, where it will conduct wide-field infrared observations over a planned five-year mission. Supported claims include a 2.4-meter primary mirror, 100-times-larger field of view than Hubble, and projected yields of up to 100,000 exoplanets and billions of galaxies and stars mapped.
