Mount Olympus was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list as a mixed cultural-natural site during a committee meeting in Busan, South Korea. The 2,918-meter peak had remained on a tentative list since 2014. The decision occurred alongside inscriptions for the D-Day landing beaches, ancient Japanese capitals, and South Sudan’s Boma-Badingilo landscape.
