Nolan Xavier Wells, an 18-year-old Black resident of Mississippi, did not return from a July 4 boat trip to Horn Island with a group of white friends. A memorial service took place on Monday in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, officiated by Rev. Al Sharpton, who offered a reward for information on Wells' death. Tyler Perry contributed to the reward and funeral costs.
