Melat Kiros, a 29-year-old democratic socialist, defeated longtime Rep. Diana DeGette in Colorado’s Democratic primary for the Denver-based House seat. Kiros led by nearly 10 points as of Wednesday morning after Tuesday’s election. Outside spending by establishment-linked groups and AIPAC exceeded Justice Democrats’ expenditures in support of the incumbent.
