Malta's Labour Party secured a fourth consecutive term following Saturday's election, according to a Sunday ballot sample count reported by Euronews and Straits Times. Voter turnout reached 87.4 percent, with the party achieving a smaller parliamentary majority than in 2022 when it received 55 percent of ballots. Robert Abela, who succeeded Joseph Muscat as party leader in 2020, is scheduled to be sworn in on Monday.
