Framing Analysis
A Kenyan high court issued orders on May 28 suspending a planned 50-bed US isolation facility intended for American citizens exposed to Ebola in neighboring countries. The facility, to be staffed by US medics, was due to open before the court barred admissions of exposed individuals until a June 2 hearing. The outbreak has caused at least 220 deaths and over 900 infections in the Democratic Republic of Congo with additional cases in Uganda.
