Keiko Fujimori was declared the winner of Peru's June 7, 2026 presidential runoff on July 3 after receiving 50.135 percent of the vote to Roberto Sánchez's 49.865 percent. Peru's top election authority certified the result following a first-round contest in which the two advanced past 33 other candidates. Fujimori is the daughter of former president Alberto Fujimori, who was convicted in 2009 of human rights abuses.
