The Japanese government has allocated ¥387.3 billion through March 2027 to Noetra for a 140-megawatt data center that will use 27,500 Nvidia Rubin chips and is scheduled to begin operations in June 2028. Sony Group, SoftBank, Preferred Networks, and NEC are assisting with setup and operations. Microsoft separately plans data centers using hundreds of thousands of Nvidia Vera Rubin systems.
