Democratic state Rep. James Talarico announced that his campaign raised more than $3 million in the 24 hours after Ken Paxton's victory in the Republican runoff for U.S. Senate. The funds were described by the campaign as coming from working people across Texas in response to Paxton's win over six-term Sen. John Cornyn. Paxton's victory was backed by President Trump's endorsement in a state he carried by double digits in 2024.
