The individuals, part of a Global Sumud Flotilla group attempting overland travel to Gaza, were handed over to Italy's consul in Benghazi and are scheduled to return to Italy. Tajani made the announcement via social media following their detention after Israeli forces intercepted related flotilla vessels in international waters last month.
