Irish police stopped a vehicle carrying a bomb near Carrickmacross in County Monaghan on July 22, approximately 10 kilometres from the border with Northern Ireland. A woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s were arrested in connection with the incident, and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team examined the vehicle. Authorities have not released details of the examination for operational reasons.
