Iran's foreign ministry spokesman warned Bulgaria that permitting U.S. tanker aircraft at the Bezmer base could constitute complicity in aggression. Bulgaria, a NATO and EU member, has requested parliamentary approval to station up to eight U.S. refueling aircraft at the facility 260 km southeast of Sofia. The request follows intensified U.S.-Iran strikes after an interim ceasefire collapsed.
