An unarmed 41-year-old man identified as Andrew Truelove entered NBC's New York headquarters on Thursday, reached the backstage area, and lunged at Today anchor Craig Melvin while yelling a racial slur. Truelove, who had initially sought Al Roker, faces multiple hate-crime-enhanced charges including burglary, trespass, and menacing. NBC fired one security guard following the incident and stated it is reviewing protocols.
