Vikram Misri met Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Hong Liang, Deputy Secretary General of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, in Beijing. The discussions covered implementation of guidance from Indian and Chinese leaders and expansion of political and people-to-people exchanges. The meetings occurred days after External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Wang Yi on July 22.
