External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday and conveyed India's strong protest over a US Navy attack that killed three Indian mariners aboard the Palau-flagged MT Settebello. The strike occurred on Wednesday off the Oman coast; Omani forces later rescued 25 crew members including 21 Indians. India also summoned the US Embassy Charge d'Affaires in New Delhi.
