Framing Analysis
The Illinois Prisoner Review Board denied Sean Grayson's application for medical release on Friday. Grayson, a former Sangamon County sheriff's deputy convicted of second-degree murder in the 2024 death of Sonya Massey, is serving a 20-year sentence and cited advanced colon cancer under the Joe Coleman Act. The three-person panel acted after hearing from Sangamon County State's Attorney John Milhiser.
