Péter Magyar, Hungary’s prime minister, announced plans to nominate former chess grandmaster Judit Polgár for the largely ceremonial presidency after parliament approved a constitutional amendment ending Tamás Sulyok’s term. Magyar’s Tisza party holds a two-thirds majority that enabled the change. Polgár, ranked the top female chess player for 25 years, is scheduled to meet Magyar on Monday.
