Framing Analysis
Viktor Orbán's government, in power for 16 years, lost the April 2025 election to Péter Magyar's Tisza party, after which the June 27 Budapest Pride march occurred with more than 10,000 participants. Orbán had enacted laws restricting gender changes, same-sex adoption, and school materials on homosexuality while attempting to limit prior Pride events. Magyar's administration lifted the ban but Magyar avoided the topic during the campaign and did not attend the march.
