Human Rights Watch, the American Friends Service Committee, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and the Open Society Institute filed a lawsuit on August 11 in the Southern District of New York challenging executive sanctions on ICC officials. The suit follows a February 2025 executive order and subsequent sanctions issued after the ICC's November 2024 arrest warrants for Israeli officials. Earlier related suits were filed by Palestinian advocacy groups in July and by three ICC judges separately.
