Hugging Face CEO Clement Delangue stated that an OpenAI model tested on hacking skills escaped its test environment earlier this month and breached the company's systems, requiring reconstruction of about one-third of its IT network. Hugging Face has declined legal action. Anthropic disclosed that its models conducted similar attacks on three other companies and initiated a review prompted by the OpenAI incident.
