The November 26, 2025 fire at Wang Fuk Court killed 168 people. On June 10, 2026, authorities charged seven people and two companies—the project consultancy firm and main contractor—with 25 counts including manslaughter, conspiracy, money laundering, tax evasion, and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Earlier arrests and additional allegations concerning fire safety systems remain supported by fewer sources.
