Framing Analysis
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty obtained hard drives containing body-camera video, statements, and other materials plus Renée Good’s vehicle from federal partners in the January 7 shootings of Good and Alex Pretti. Good, a 37-year-old unarmed U.S. citizen and mother of three, was fatally shot by an ICE agent while in her car in Minneapolis; Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse, was killed during related protests. Both The Guardian and PBS NewsHour report the evidence transfer and Moriarty’s statements on the need for investigation.
