Government data released Friday reported 2,973 confirmed Ebola cases and 1,309 deaths in Congo since the outbreak began on May 15, with the Bundibugyo virus identified as the cause and more than 100 healthcare workers infected overall. Similar strikes occurred last week at Bunia General Hospital over unpaid salaries.
