Germany conducted a test of the Israeli-built LORA ballistic missile in the North Atlantic prior to September 2, with military officials announcing the results on that date. The test took place hours after Berlin accused Russia of an attempted drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport the previous month. Germany currently fields no ballistic missiles and is separately developing an upgraded Taurus NEO cruise missile for production in 2029.
