Framing Analysis
A Berlin court sentenced 41-year-old palliative care physician Johannes M. to life imprisonment after finding him guilty of murdering 15 patients between September 2021 and July 2024. The victims, aged 25 to 94 and critically ill but not imminently terminal, received lethal medication without consent during home visits, with arson attempts used to conceal evidence in multiple cases. The trial lasted approximately one year, and the defendant confessed to twelve of the killings.
