Framing Analysis
Pierre Michel Formosa, a 68-year-old French tourist, died in Death Valley National Park on August 17 after his vehicle became stuck in mud on West Side Road near Queen of Sheba Mine Road. He and his companion attempted to walk across salt flats in 46.7°C heat; Formosa collapsed after approximately 2 km while the companion reached help. The Inyo County coroner has not yet determined the cause or manner of death.
