French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in London on Wednesday to meet Prime Minister Andy Burnham and view the Bayeux Tapestry at the British Museum. The 230-foot embroidery, approximately 1,000 years old, depicts the Norman conquest of England in 1066 and is on public display for the first time on British soil since the 11th century. Schoolchildren from both nations attended events including speeches by Macron and King Charles III.
