Francesca Hong, a Democratic state representative and DSA member, lost the Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial primary to David Crowley by a margin of less than one percentage point. Rep. Ro Khanna defended his endorsement of Hong after the result, while Crowley had re-entered the race with support from Gov. Tony Evers following an earlier withdrawal. Hong had led every pre-primary poll.
