An Indonesian corruption court sentenced Nadiem Makarim to 10 years in prison on June 30 for graft linked to a 2019-2022 school Chromebook procurement program. The ruling also imposed a 1 billion rupiah fine and 809.6 billion rupiah in restitution, with an additional five-year term possible if restitution is unpaid. Makarim, co-founder of Gojek and education minister from 2019 to 2024, was named a suspect in September 2025.
