One person died and around 15 others remain missing or unaccounted for after a flash flood struck Bright Angel Creek and Phantom Ranch on Saturday. More than 60 people were evacuated, the park's sole water pipeline was destroyed, and overnight lodging was suspended starting Monday. The National Park Service reported the events, with assistance from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
