A 500,000 sq-ft cold storage warehouse owned by Lineage in Boyle Heights caught fire on 17 June, drawing about 110 firefighters and hazmat teams from Los Angeles city and county. An ammonia line was compromised during the response, leading Mayor Karen Bass to issue a shelter-in-place order for the area. The cause remains under investigation, with solar panels present on the roof.
