Federal judges in Boston and Chicago rejected legal challenges seeking to preserve Temporary Protected Status for nationals of South Sudan and Myanmar. The rulings follow a June Supreme Court decision that limited lower courts' authority to block Department of Homeland Security terminations of TPS designations for multiple countries. Approximately 232 South Sudanese and 4,000 Myanmar nationals would lose protections under the terminations.
