U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema issued an injunction on Friday blocking the Trump administration from establishing the $1.8 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund. The fund was announced last month by the DOJ to compensate individuals alleging targeting under the prior administration and was linked to settlement of lawsuits by President Trump. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent were ordered to submit sworn declarations within one week.
