The ruling found that the tribe did not establish illegal trespass or unauthorized boundary changes and that government interests in border security outweighed asserted harms. The 2.8-million-acre reservation in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert directly abuts the Mexico border and is home to over 37,000 members.
