Framing Analysis
FBI agents executed a search warrant last Monday at the Virginia home of former CIA official David Rush and seized approximately 303 one-kilogram gold bars valued at $40 million, $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches. Rush faces federal charges of defrauding the U.S. government after allegedly requesting large quantities of foreign currency and gold bars for work expenses since November while misrepresenting his academic credentials, Navy service and pilot training. A hearing is scheduled for Friday in federal court in Alexandria.
