The Faizabad Bar Association passed a resolution refusing legal representation to eight individuals accused in an embezzlement case involving Ram temple donations and imposed a Rs 5 lakh fine on members who violate it. All eight accused were remanded to 14 days of judicial custody on June 29, 2026. The association cited hurt sentiments and referenced a similar 2005 decision after an attack on the makeshift temple.
