Eurostat's flash estimate shows Eurozone annual inflation at 3.3 percent in August 2026, up from 2.9 percent in July, with the increase concentrated in energy prices. Core inflation eased to 2.4 percent while food, alcohol and tobacco inflation remained at 1.2 percent. National rates varied widely, from 5.8 percent in Lithuania to 1.3 percent in Estonia.
