The leaders endorsed direct dialogue between Ukraine and Russia, with U.S. and European participation, to pursue a ceasefire and negotiations beginning at the current line of contact while affirming that borders must not be changed by force. Zelensky had proposed a face-to-face meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in an open letter issued on Thursday.
