Ursula von der Leyen announced a drone deal with Ukraine on July 15 during a visit to Kyiv, where she also received an award from President Volodymyr Zelensky. The agreement aims to combine Ukrainian drone expertise with European industrial capacity, following similar pacts Ukraine has signed with select EU countries and Gulf nations. The Russia-Ukraine war has lasted more than four years according to multiple reports.
