Electronic Arts closed a $55 billion privatization deal on Tuesday with buyers including Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake Partners, and Affinity Partners. The transaction, financed in part by $20 billion in debt, marks the largest private-equity buyout on record and ends EA’s public listing. PIF had held a minority stake in the company for five years prior.
