Vote counting for West Bengal Assembly elections, along with those in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and bye-elections in seven constituencies, is scheduled for May 4, 2026. West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal and Special Electoral Roll Observer Subrata Gupta assured a free, fair, and peaceful process with no irregularities or vote theft. The Election Commission of India (ECI) deployed 165 additional counting observers, 77 police observers, and enhanced security measures across strongrooms.
