Framing Analysis
The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, first reported on 15 May, has recorded up to 3,973 cases and 1,801 deaths as of 4 August according to The Guardian. It is the second-largest on record after the 2014-2018 West Africa epidemic and is centered in Ituri Province. Health worker strikes over unpaid wages have been reported alongside visits by WHO and Africa CDC officials.
