The Department of Justice unsealed indictments against 14 individuals for alleged theft exceeding $50 million in government funds as part of a statewide Ohio crackdown announced on Thursday. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash presented the charges at a Columbus news conference. Separately, Maryland resident Simeon Bakare pleaded guilty to wire fraud involving more than $176,000 obtained through a CARES Act scheme that ran from April to November 2020.
