The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled that the EPA cannot freeze or terminate grants from the $20 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund created by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. The decision restores a prior preliminary injunction and is temporarily stayed to permit possible Supreme Court review. Litigation was initiated by three nonprofit recipients after EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin moved to end the awards.
