Darializa Avila Chevalier defeated incumbent Adriano Espaillat in the Democratic primary for New York's 13th Congressional District on Tuesday, with the Associated Press projecting her victory. Chevalier received 49.4% of the vote with 87% of precincts reporting, while Espaillat received approximately 46%. Outside spending from groups including Justice Democrats and BOLD America exceeded $6 million combined.
