Comcast has launched Xfinity Shield, a free service for Xfinity Internet customers that integrates cybersecurity features, WiFi-based motion detection, and parental controls through the Xfinity app. The platform uses existing network infrastructure and connected devices to identify threats and monitor household activity. An optional paid tier adds hardware sensors and response services.
