Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced that prosecutors would not file bribery charges against Governor Katie Hobbs after a two-year investigation found no evidence of a quid pro quo. The probe examined over 100,000 documents and one terabyte of records following a 2024 Arizona Republic report on contributions from Sunshine Residential Homes. Mayes called for legislative reforms on transparency of political donations by state contractors.
