Sen. Amy Klobuchar won the Democratic primary for Minnesota governor after Gov. Tim Walz declined to seek a third term amid scrutiny of fraud in state social services programs. Klobuchar, who entered the race in late January and received the DFL endorsement in May, secured a large majority of primary votes. If elected in November she would become the state's first female governor and would resign her Senate seat.
