Alexander Vindman lost the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Florida on Tuesday to state Rep. Angie Nixon, with Nixon leading 56.1% to 43.9% after over 95% of votes counted. Donald Trump posted on Truth Social the following day that Vindman's loss was among the most gratifying and called for his prosecution. Vindman previously served as a central witness in the 2019 impeachment inquiry regarding Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
